Welcome to Elderfield Official Elderfield Links

First-party stores and community channels, with a clear line between this wiki and other fan projects.

Official Links Hub

Welcome to Elderfield is still an upcoming PC release dated September 10, 2026. Patch notes, trailers, language packs, and Steam Deck status change on official channels first. This hub collects those first-party destinations so you are not hunting a dead invite from a year-old video. This site is an unofficial fan wiki. It is not Chris Cote, Ill-Advised Games, or publisher Kwalee. When a guide here disagrees with a Steam news post or a pinned Discord message, trust the developer.

Use this page as a bookmark list. Then come back to the game overview when you want the systems explained, the guides hub when you want a route, and the updates hub when you want dates and demo notes without leaving the wiki.

Steam store and the free demo

The full game on Steam is the canonical storefront: wishlist, trailer shelf, supported languages, controller flags, and the September 10, 2026 unlock date. Kwalee publishes there. Chris Cote is credited as developer. The page is also where Steam Deck Verified status was announced in August 2026, which matters if you plan to farm on a handheld instead of a desk.

The Welcome to Elderfield Alpha Demo is a separate app. The demo has been playable since October 2024. It is the vertical slice reviewers and most new players actually run: one town area, farm and ranch, mall dungeon, and enough side content for a long weekend. Download the demo from that store page even if the main app is still locked. Steam Cloud, achievements, and language options for the 1.0 build live on the main app; do not assume a demo save will be a 1.0 farm.

Steam news on the main app is the cleanest public changelog. Localization drops, showcase appearances, and Deck verification all landed there before they trended on social clips. If you only follow one official text feed, follow that news hub.

itch.io

Welcome to Elderfield on itch.io is the studio’s page on itch. During development it has been a second door for people who already live in that ecosystem. Steam remains the 1.0 store Kwalee is pointing press toward. If an itch build and a Steam demo disagree, treat Steam as the public branch unless Chris says otherwise on Discord or Patreon.

Discord

The community Discord invite is the live room. Bug reports, schedule questions, screenshot help, and the occasional direct clarification from the developer travel faster here than on store comments. Join it if you hit a soft-lock, a rebind trap, or a mystery roll that looks broken. Keep spoilers in the channels that ask for them. The mall, marriage, and Old God threads will not stay demo-safe forever as 1.0 approaches.

Discord is also the honest place to learn which demo build you are on. Alpha version numbers move. A YouTube clip from 2025 may show a mall layout or a curse table that a 2026 patch already replaced.

Patreon

Chris Cote’s Patreon is how backers played builds beyond the public demo during development. Marriage, the Art Gallery, and later dungeon work were discussed and sometimes playable there first. Paying is optional. The Steam 1.0 date does not require a pledge. If you do subscribe, read the post tags: patron alphas are not the same product as the store demo, and mixing advice from both without checking the version is how people invent fake mechanics.

Patreon is also where the developer writes longer design notes: three dungeon skulls feeding the Art Gallery, the farm tower as a story hub, the key that opens the last door. Those notes inform this wiki, but they are still design posts, not patch notes.

YouTube

The official YouTube channel is the trailer source. Demo trailers, showcase cuts, and the release-date film belong here. Creator videos are useful for seeing a real farm, but they are not patch notes. When a thumbnail promises a secret ending, confirm it against Steam news or Discord before you rearrange your save.

Fan wiki.gg and this site

A community MediaWiki already exists at welcometoelderfield.wiki.gg. It is a collaborative encyclopedia with item tables, maps, and enemy sheets, and it is a good companion for raw data. This site is independent of that wiki.gg project. We are not a mirror, not a skin, and not an official Kwalee property. Pages here are written as guides and hubs with a fixed information architecture: overview, guides, townsfolk, tools, tier lists, and updates. If a drop table on wiki.gg is more granular than a guide here, that is expected. If a date on this site is newer than a wiki.gg stub, check Steam.

Do not treat either fan site as a replacement for the store. Wishlist and install through Steam. Report crashes through Discord or Steam discussions. Quote official patch text when you argue about a mechanic.

How to keep the list honest

Official URLs rotate. Invites expire. A TikTok bio can lag a month behind a Discord rename. When something 404s, come back to this hub instead of a random comment. The six links above — Steam, demo, itch.io, Discord, Patreon, YouTube — are the set this wiki will keep repairing. Everything else is optional social noise.

Read the updates hub after you bookmark Steam news. Use the guides hub after you actually boot the demo. The game overview is the page to send a friend who has not decided whether cozy horror farming is a joke they will like. First-party links stay here so those other pages can stay about play.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Is this wiki official?

No. This is an independent fan site. Confirm dates and patch text on [Steam](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3195440/Welcome_to_Elderfield/) or the [Discord](https://discord.gg/ZBerEhUMVY).

Where do I download the demo?

Use the [Steam demo app](https://store.steampowered.com/app/3195680/Welcome_to_Elderfield_Alpha_Demo/). It has been playable since October 2024 and is separate from the 1.0 store page.

Do I need Patreon to play on September 10, 2026?

No. Patreon is optional development support and extra alphas. The dated PC release is the Steam 1.0 build published by Kwalee.

How is this site different from wiki.gg?

wiki.gg is a separate community encyclopedia. This site is not a fork of it. Use both if you want; treat neither as the developer.

Which official channel is fastest for bugs?

The [Discord](https://discord.gg/ZBerEhUMVY) for live reports. Steam news for public patch summaries. YouTube is trailers, not support.

Where should I go after I bookmark these links?

Read the game overview, then pick a route on the guides hub and watch dates on updates.
