Steam lists September 10, 2026 as the Welcome to Elderfield PC date. That is the sentence this page exists to repeat without dressing it up as a launch recap. The full game is upcoming. The free demo has been playable since October 2024. If another site says it already shipped, check Steam, then check this wiki’s updates hub.

Developer: Chris Cote (Ill-Advised Games / Ill-Advised Records in credits). Publisher: Kwalee. Platform at launch: Steam PC. The store framing is a cozy horror farming RPG: farm, townsfolk, mall dungeon, sleep curses, Old Gods, cooking, fishing, mining, mysteries. It is single-player.

What “dated September 10, 2026” means

It means the store’s planned unlock day, not a guarantee written into your calendar app. Steam dates move. If this one moves, the updates hub should move with it. Until then, treat September 10, 2026 as the number to wishlist against.

It does not mean the demo vanished. The demo remains the vertical slice you can use as a rehearsal: one stretch of town, the farm and ranch, the mall as dungeon one. Demo notes cover the borders of that slice.

Platform and features at launch

• Single-player. No extra human on the farm.
• Full controller support.
• Steam Cloud.
• Achievements.
• Steam Deck Verified announced late August 2026 — confirm the badge on the app page.

There is no Roblox version. There is no console date on this page because Steam PC is the dated platform.

Languages Steam lists for launch

English ships with full audio. French, German, Spanish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Portuguese ship as interface and subtitles. Toggle language on the first page of the options menu. This wiki builds English, French, German, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese pages. It does not build Chinese or Russian wiki locales, even though the game client may include those languages.

If a UI string looks untranslated in the demo, that is a build issue, not a reason to avoid the September date. Localization notes appeared in store news around September 1, 2026; in-game always wins over a wiki table.

What the full game is expected to add

Store and demo blurbs have been consistent: the demo is roughly a sixth of the planned game. The finished town is expected to be more than three times the demo’s town space. At least two more dungeon areas like the mall are planned, with multiple levels each. Extra systems called out for the full build include Old God alignment, calendar-based events, and quality-of-life work. None of that changes day-one habits. Hans still wants wheat. The first-week planner still starts in the kitchen.

Romance, ranch animals, deeper mines, and extra mysteries sit in that larger map. Use romance, fishing and mining, and Old Gods as “this is in the design,” not as a promise that every demo NPC is finished.

How to wait without wasting the week

Wishlist the full game on Steam. Play the demo if you have not. Follow Getting Started, then the demo walkthrough. Rank crops on the crop list so launch week is not a cauliflower experiment. Meet townsfolk so Sam’s note is not a surprise. Check links for official channels instead of random “leaked date” posts.

Do not pre-write your own patch notes. Do not assume demo gold, items, or map completion will transfer until the developer says they will. Plan for a fresh file on September 10, 2026 unless Steam or the launch notes say otherwise.

Launch week extras (store and community)

Kwalee and the Elderfield channels advertised extra beats around the dated launch, none of which change the farm loop:

• Giveaway window: 27 August 2026 2pm UTC through 10 September 2026 2pm UTC. Three winners were listed for a custom Elderfield mousepad and a $25 Steam gift card. If that window has closed when you read this, do not hunt fake codes on this wiki.
• Press embargo: Keymailer copy listed a lift for final scores, video reviews, and livestreams on 8 September 2026 (afternoon UK time). That is a press calendar, not a player unlock.
• Showcase: Clemmy’s BIG Fall Showcase on 1 September 2026 was the Steam Deck Verified reminder plus a public trailer slot.
• Art contest: Winners posted 17 August 2026. Full list: art contest.
• Wishlists: Official socials celebrated a 200,000-wishlist milestone in August 2026. Third-party estimators sometimes print a different number. This wiki will not pretend to audit Steam’s internal counter.

None of these extras are a reason to skip wheat. Use demo notes if you want to play the slice, and Manga Mode if you want the black-and-white look while you wait.

Pricing and editions

This page will not invent a price. Steam’s store block is the price. There is no deluxe-edition lore required to plant radish. If a soundtrack or cosmetic bundle appears, it will be a store item, not a combat rank.

After the date ticks over

When the full game is actually out, this page should change tense in a deliberate pass, together with content/facts.json. Until that pass happens, this page stays in future tense: the date, the demo, and the work you can do in between.
